In the past few weeks, speculation about my future at Brentford Football Club has become increasingly fierce. Therefore, I want to explain the actual situation directly and frankly.
I remained silent this summer, but with only a few hours left in the transfer window, I had to make it clear: I hope to leave Brentford. Despite receiving multiple reasonable offers throughout the summer, I think the club is overly obstructing my transfer.
Since signing in 2021, I have always put in 100% effort for Brentford. I am proud of what we have achieved together and have never taken the opportunity to play for the club for granted.
Brentford fans will always occupy a special place in my heart. I have always demanded myself with a professional attitude, regardless of the court. It is my honor to wear this robe to play in 149 games and score 49 goals.
Earlier this summer, I had an open discussion with the club’s senior executives (including key directors and new managers) to clearly express my willingness to seek new challenges.
In these conversations, the club confirmed to me and my representative that there will be no obstacles if a reasonable offer is received. This commitment is also recorded in writing.
Based on this consensus, I started looking for new clubs and remained completely transparent to Brentford at every step.
When Brentford received a formal offer from another Premier League club, I immediately expressed my willingness to join. Based on all dialogues, I am sure that the two sides have reached a consensus on the breakup.
However, as the window closes, the club suddenly changes its position, breaking its previous promise. This put me in a difficult and frustrated situation. The promise of release this summer has not been fulfilled, and I have to write down these while always maintaining full respect for the club and fans.
I want to make it clear: I have always been professional in my behavior and I am not willing to engage in evil with Brentford. Throughout the process, I was always transparent and I was constantly open to communication with the club and acted in a way that was in line with my values as a player and as my personal values.
I still hope to find a fair and reasonable solution before closing the window.
At the same time, I have to make the right choice for my career and family, insisting on Brentford fulfilling my commitment-let me join the new club at a fair price.
Thanks to all Brentford fans for their support and understanding during this difficult time. Your energy and trust mean a lot to me. This is never to abandon this excellent football club, but to hope that under the blessing of Brentford, a new chapter will be opened according to their repeated promises to leave the team this summer.
If you are forced to stay in the team, it will only defile the four wonderful years you spent in this extraordinary club. Therefore I beg the owners and directors of Brentford to keep their promises at the last moment of closing the window.
