Bournemouth forward Semenho has performed well this season. He has contributed 6 goals and 3 assists in 9 Premier League games. In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Semenho talked about his future, dominant foot and other topics.
About your future?
"I don't think too much, I just try to stay focused. Of course I saw the news that you guys saw, and I can't ignore it, but I have to keep myself focused. And I enjoy playing here, but if I can't score, all that will disappear. I try my best to help the team, score more goals, and let things take their own course in the future.
"Some of my teammates left in the summer, and there was a lot of transfer news and pull between clubs. But I know the manager's plan for this year. The team was doing very well at the end of last season and now we can move forward and have some new players. I wasn't sure at first, but now we're on a roll. I'm so glad I made the decision to stay and I've enjoyed every moment of it. "
Currently on the Premier League scorer list, only Haaland (11 goals) has scored more goals than Semenho (Welbeck, Mateta, and Igor Thiago also scored 6 goals). Bournemouth will challenge Manchester City away from home in the 10th round of the Premier League. Talk about your personal goals?
"Every year I write down my goals in my diary. I always want to do better than last season. I set myself challenges to push myself. I can help the team in many ways and I want to thank the coach and my teammates for helping me a lot.
"(About goals for this season) I don’t want to say too much, but scoring double figures and assists is one of my goals. Passing and shooting at the right time are key factors for me, these are the things I need to do well. If I can score 15 The ball is great, I only reached double figures for the first time last season, I think I am a good finisher, so I hope I can take a step further this year
"I have worked hard on shooting, starting in the offseason. During pre-season I worked out with my personal coach and worked on some very difficult shots from tight angles. "
What's your dominant foot?
"I'm better at my right foot, but I can use both feet freely. When I was two or three years old, I was playing in the park with my parents, and I loved playing football. My dad said ‘you seem to be able to kick with both feet’ and I said ‘yes dad’. My mom asked if this was rare? Dad said ‘we’ll find out later’. Now that seems to be the case.
"This is a rare ability. You can say that I am very lucky. This makes it difficult for opponents to predict my movements. Although I am sorry for the defender, I like this ability very much."
Bournemouth currently ranks second in the Premier League standings, only 4 points behind Arsenal. Many people have begun to discuss your participation in the European war.
"Everything is possible, but the head coach said to take it one game at a time because the situation changes quickly. Every game and training, everyone gives their best. I have to praise our team, everyone has remained humble and focused on doing what we do best."
