According to TEAMtalk, if Ederson leaves the team, Manchester City is preparing to buy Donarumma.

Due to uncertainty about Ederson's future, Manchester City is actively looking for a new goalkeeper in the transfer market. Ederson, 31, has been playing for Manchester City since 2017 and his contract expires in the summer of 2026. Teams including many European clubs and Saudi professional leagues have expressed interest in the Brazilian goalkeeper, and he may leave this summer.

Therefore, Manchester City began to look for a possible replacement for Ederson, with Paris goalkeeper Donaluma being one of the targets. On June 13, Manchester City also collected information about Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen, which can now be confirmed and Manchester City also proposed new consultations with Donnarumma.

26-year-old Donnarumma will play for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, and the contract will also expire in 2026. Although Paris is negotiating a contract renewal with Donaluma, the negotiations are not going well, and Donaluma is not satisfied with the club's offer.

Manchester City had already started collecting information about Donnarumma a few weeks ago and are paying close attention to developments. If Ederson leaves the team, Manchester City may initiate a formal bid against the Italian goalkeeper, considering that Donnarumma's contract is only one year left, which may leave some room for maneuver for Manchester City to negotiate with Paris.
