Dogs may also vomit after eating. At this time, owners do not need to give medicine to their dogs prematurely. They must first understand the reasons. There are three main reasons. You can understand them first and then treat them accordingly.

1. Vomiting caused by improper feeding

If the dog vomits just after eating, and the vomiting is undigested food, it is likely that the vomiting is caused by the dog ingesting food too quickly, or the food given to the dog is irritating, causing the dog to vomit after eating. In this case, the owner does not need to worry too much. You can fast the dog for one meal first. If the dog no longer vomits, you can give the dog some probiotics to regulate the stomach. Pay attention to the future diet and try to give the dog less frequent meals.

2. Vomiting caused by accidental ingestion of foreign objects

If the dog has frequent vomiting due to accidental ingestion of foreign objects such as wool, plastic, stones, etc., it is recommended that the owner take the dog to the pet hospital for imaging examination in time. If the foreign body still remains in the dog's stomach, it can be dealt with by inducing vomiting. If the effect of inducing vomiting is not good, it is recommended to use an endoscope to remove the foreign body in the dog's stomach. If a foreign body has entered the dog's intestines, surgery is generally required. If the foreign body is not removed for a long time, it is likely to cause local congestion, ulcers, and even perforation.

3. Vomiting caused by disease

Pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, parvovirus, canine distemper virus infection and other disease causes can cause dogs to vomit after eating. Especially for dogs that have not been vaccinated, the possibility of canine distemper and parvovirus infection must be suspected. Therefore, if your dog vomits frequently, it is recommended to take your dog to the pet hospital for examination immediately, and then provide symptomatic treatment after determining the specific cause.
