Generally speaking, nutrient deficiency, pathological factors and other factors are the main causes of skin diseases.

The common skin diseases are mainly as follows:

1. Skin diseases caused by ectoparasiosis

Skin diseases caused by ectoparasiosis are skin diseases caused by skin infections after bites such as fleas, lice mites, etc.

If the pet is infected with fleas, and the fleas will be seen wandering on the fleas' skin.

2. Bacterial skin diseases

Typical representatives of bacterial skin diseases are pyoderma and interphalangeal pyoderma caused by suppurative bacterial infections such as Staphylococcus.

The site of pyoderma is uncertain, characterized by papules, pustipes, folliculitis, skin cracks and no itching;

The intertina pyoderma occurs when pustules occur between the toes of the single limbs or limbs of the dog, forming a fistula.

3. Fungal skin disease

Fungal skin disease, also known as ringworm, is a skin disease caused by fungal infection of the skin, hair, and paws.

Microspora canis is the most common pathogen, followed by gypsum-like microspora, which is the most common skin disease in dogs.

The clinical manifestations include local hair loss and dandruff, which are the most common among the ears, face and head and neck. In severe cases, hair loss will be all over the body, red papules and rashes will be spread on the surface of the body, and small round, oily thick scabs will form on the surface of the skin of the hair removal area, resulting in dandruff.

This disease is relatively stubborn and cannot be cured for a long time. It is sometimes better and sometimes worse after taking the medicine. Moreover, after long-term infection with fungi, it is easy to get infected with mites, which seriously affects the appearance and health of the dog.

4. Allergic skin diseases

Allergic skin diseases are skin diseases caused by allergens. Specific allergens can be divided into four categories: contact allergens, inhalation allergens, intake of allergens and injection of allergens.

Dogs and cats with allergic skin diseases will scratch continuously. If you open the place where it is scratching, you will find a rash.

5. Seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis is caused by abnormal keratosis of the skin, abnormal sebaceous gland secretion, and a large amount of dandruff produced between the hairs of the skin. There are two types: dryness and wetness.

Dry seborrheic dermatitis: There is a large amount of off-white dander between the quilt hair, and the quilt hair is sparse.

Wet seborrheic dermatitis: Dandruff is oily and adheres to the matte hair, with a large amount of yellow-brown oil at the tail and a rotten smell.

Warm reminder: When a hairy child has symptoms of itching, hair loss, scabs and abnormal skin changes, he is very likely to suffer from skin diseases. Once these symptoms occur, you must first take the hairy child to the pet hospital for diagnosis and then prescribe the right medicine.

How to prevent pet skin diseases

Control bathing in pets regularly can remove dirt on their bodies and keep them clean and hygienic, but the frequency of bathing must be controlled well.

The skin structure of dogs and cats is different from that of humans. Frequent bathing can easily destroy the oil on the surface of the skin, reduce the skin's protective power, and thus be easily eroded by external forces.

In addition, ensuring the hygiene of the home environment and regular disinfection can effectively inhibit the breeding of bacteria and the reproduction of parasites, and ensure the health of hairy children.
