Mite is also the most susceptible parasite to pet dogs. If the condition is serious, it will induce serious skin diseases. Mites are a micro-pest that is not easy to see with the naked eye and there are many species. Currently, there are more than 40 species of mites that live in the living room. Currently, many dogs are infected with mites. Of course, after infection with mites, dogs will also show unique symptoms?
1. Demodex symptoms can be divided into two types:
Scale type: mainly hair loss and bald spots occur in the eyelids and their surroundings, forehead, lips, lower neck, elbow, and between toes. The boundaries are obvious, accompanied by mild flushing of the skin and bran-like chaff. The skin becomes rough and cracked, and some have small boils on their bodies. The skin turns grayish white, but the affected area does not itch.
Pustular type: After infection with Demodex mites, small red papules often appear on the lower abdomen of the medial femoral veins. A few days later, it becomes a small abscess. In severe cases, large areas of small red and white protrusions appear on the inner side of the abdomen, and a special odor scent appears. At this time, the dog shows uneasy and itchy feeling. When a large number of demodex mites are parasitic, it can lead to skin infections throughout the body, body hair falls off, pustules ulcers after ulceration, and secondary bacterial infections and systemic symptoms. Pets with severe illness can lead to death.
2. Ear itchy mites:
parasitizes in the external ear of the dog, is highly contact-contagious, and will cause a large amount of ear lipid secretion and lymph fluid overflow, and often secondary to purulent. If there is an itchy feeling, pets will scratch their ears with their claws from time to time. In addition, they will also show symptoms such as shaking their heads, scratching their ears, and twitching them, rubbing their ears on the object, and even causing bleeding from the external auditory canal. Brown-black secretions and epidermal hyperplasia appear in the ear canal. The pet's ear pain is obvious and tender. He refuses to check the ears and sometimes rotates to the side with the heavier lesions. When secondary bacterial infection occurs, suppurative otitis externa and otitis media can cause encephalitis and brain neurological symptoms.
3. Scabia mite disease:
Generally, puppies have serious symptoms, first occur on the bridge of the nose, cheeks, ear roots, and armpits, and then spread throughout the body. At first, the skin turns red and small red boils appear, and then turn into blisters. After the blisters rupture, viscous yellow oily exudates flow out. After the exudates dry, they form fish scale scallops. The affected area is severely itchy, and the sick dog often scratches the affected area with its claws or rubs on the ground and various objects, resulting in severe hair loss.
