Dogs at home like to "stand" very much? That's right, that's because it wants to play games with dog owners and likes to stick to their owners and attract your attention. At this time, as long as you add a little food, you can easily learn to "thank you" (or greet you).
Training method for dogs "thank you"
1. Hold a piece of jerky meat or something that the dog likes to eat on weekdays in his hand, and cooperate with the command "thank you" (or "New Year's greetings"), and at the same time put the "bait" in front of its nose, about 10 cm, at a 45-degree angle, slowly pulling upwards to lure the dog to stand up slowly. If you want to eat jerky, it will slowly stand up as you gesture.
2. At the beginning, even if the dog can only stand up for 1 second, it doesn’t matter. It will definitely be the longer it will be. When you first stand, don’t give it a little jerky immediately, to see if it can stand up more and longer. The longer the body pulls, the higher the stability it is. In order to maintain balance, you will naturally start to make preparations for "thank you" (or "New Year's greetings").
3. Some dogs will have their front paws separated, or even go up and down, it doesn't look like a "thank you" gesture. It doesn't matter. You can help it move its front paws closer and make it gradually get used to standing, and the front paws will naturally fit together. Remember to always encourage it and let it know that it is doing well.
4. Once the dog stands long enough and the front paws naturally move together, in order to balance the body, even starting to move up and down, it means that your dog has already "thank you". At this time, you must put the small jerky on your hand into its mouth and praise it loudly: "What a dog! So good!"
